My introduction to the really big game in Africa was a Giraffe, it was also my introduction to the 375 H&H.
The goal was to get a frontal shot giving me the best sight picture of the vitals. It took some time to get into the 70 yard range that Joof wanted to be within but when we closed the distance the bull turned to face us giving me the shot we had talked about. leading up to this I was nervous that the 375 was going to kick hard but in the heat of the moment I totally forgot about being scared of the rifle and after taking a 300 grain Barnes bullet the bull didn’t travel far. It’s amazing how adrenaline works and can make you forget about your fears.
