After darting the rhino we had some days to hunt some plains game, @africanfieldsports had several species on their main property that we had yet to hunt on our first trip so when a nice lechwe gave me a chance I didn’t hesitate. The lechwe was introduce into South Africa and is listed as the common lechwe by SCI as now it is no longer possible to determine the exact racial mix. A big lechwe bull can weigh up to almost 600 pounds and looks like a very stocky antelope as it’s moving across the brush.
