The Klipspringer is Afrikaans for “rock jumper”and that’s a very fitting name for these Pygmy antelope found in the mountainous rocky terrain across almost every hunt able country on the African continent although SCI only recognizes 1 species several books and research papers have as upwards of 14 subspecies listed. These very small animals are a challenge to hunt and provide another mountains style hunt, just like the Klippie photoed above that was hunted in the mountains of South Africa’s Eastern Cape with@huntinafricawithtolliesthese aren’t flat land hunts and can demand some physical fitness and some good shooting abilities. If you’re up for a challenge I assure you a big Klippie will give you one.
